Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor is set to appear opposite Ram Charan in the sports‑action drama ‘Peddi’. The film, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is slated for a theatrical release on June 4, 2026, with premiere shows on June 3.
In a recent chat with PTI, Janhvi opened up about why she picks roles that are “out of your comfort zone”. “It excites me… that part of my job that I like the most is where you get to explore things that are out of your comfort zone,” she said. She added that stepping into unfamiliar characters helps her discover herself and grow as an artist.
When asked about the pressure that comes with the film world, she said she tries to treat it more as a responsibility than a burden. “I’m trying to focus more on the work… I look at it more like responsibility and not like pressure,” she explained.
Janhvi also emphasized her sense of duty towards audiences. “It is a responsibility to give every opportunity your best and to do your best in whatever you’re doing,” she noted.
‘Peddi’ boasts a strong ensemble cast that includes Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Boman Irani, Divyenndu and Ravi Kishan. The music is being handled by Oscar‑winner A. R. Rahman, while cinematography comes from R Rathnavelu.
The actress’s comments come as she gears up for her second Telugu outing, signaling a willingness to broaden her horizons beyond Bollywood.
