Shah Rukh Khan is currently busy with the shoot of his upcoming movie King. Recently, a few behind‑the‑scenes pictures of Abhishek Bachchan leaked from the set.
But this time the buzz isn’t about a film scene. It’s about a comment Shah Rukh made to a co‑actor, stopping him from video‑calling his own daughter.
Vijayant Kohli, who appeared in Aryan Khan’s documentary The Bad’s of Bollywood, shared the story with Entertainment Live. He said Shah Rukh asked him not to call his daughter directly on camera.
According to Kohli, there was a big birthday party at Shah Rukh’s house for Gauri Khan. He was invited, and his daughter Myra is a huge fan of the star. She wanted to meet him, but exams kept her away from the celebration.
“Around 3:30 am I told Shah Rukh sir that Myra might still be awake,” Kohli recalled. “He asked if we could FaceTime her. When I was about to call my daughter directly, he stopped me and said, ‘Don’t call any woman on camera without first asking if she feels comfortable.’”
He then called his wife, Rina, told her Shah Rukh was going to video‑call their daughter, and asked her to get ready. At 4 am, Shah Rukh himself called Myra on video. Kohli said the gesture left him “speechless” because of how personal and surprising it was.
So yeah, the superstar’s sense of etiquette showed up on a birthday night. Nothing polished, just a raw moment on the set.
