Amrapali Housing Project : New trouble for Amrapali home buyers! Now government company NBCC has played a trick, will the money go down the drain

Amrapali Housing Project: After the intervention of the Supreme Court, the home buyers of Amrapali project had hoped to get their homes, but this time the company NBCC, which is in charge of this project, has played some trick. Angry home buyers have once again knocked the door of the apex court.

After waiting for about 9 years and a long legal battle, the home buyers in Amrapali project had hopes of getting their homes. After the order of the Supreme Court, the National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) took the responsibility of completing these incomplete projects. But, now the home buyers are not happy with the attitude of NBCC and once again they see their money and dreams sinking. Angry with this, the home buyers also protested outside the NBCC office in Noida Sector 62 and then took the matter to the apex court, where they are demanding an investigation into the attitude of the builders including NBCC.

According to the Times of India, home buyers allege that the allotment of their flats was canceled and later given to other people at a very low price, so that money could be earned. In this entire matter, the buyers were not even given a chance to present their side. NBCC has defended its decision to sell new flats together to private developers. The company says that this method was the last resort to raise funds to complete the stalled housing projects. On the other hand, home buyers say that NBCC has cancelled their allotted flats in the name of late payment.

For how much were the units sold?
Kumar alleged that NBCC cancelled thousands of units and later gave them to Gaursons in the Centurion Park project at Rs 7,200 per sq ft. Now Gaursons is calling it its project in its advertisements. However, it is NBCC’s job to develop it. Gaursons is just a channel partner. Sources say that Gaursons is selling these units at Rs 11,000 to Rs 12,000 per sq ft. So now this whole matter looks suspicious.

The issue of corruption was raised in the Supreme Court
. Kumar said that we are smelling serious corruption in this and we will raise it in the Supreme Court. The buyers had invested their hard-earned money to get their dream homes. We had got a sigh of relief after the intervention of the Supreme Court, but our hopes are over. There is something wrong in this and the NBCC, which came forward to work for us, has played a big game this time and has dashed our hopes.
