PIB has termed this claim as fake. The post said, ‘In some articles, this misconception is being spread that according to the new guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India, now a penalty will be imposed for keeping an account in more than one bank. New RBI Governor
The government on Monday appointed Revenue Secretary Sanjay Malhotra as the 26th Governor of the RBI. He has been appointed RBI Governor for three years from December 11. Malhotra, a 1990 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Rajasthan cadre, will replace Shaktikanta Das. Das’ term ends on Tuesday i.e. December 10, 2024.
