Bank Holidays: The month of October is coming to an end. With the beginning of November, people will return to their daily routines as the festive season ends. However, banks across the country will remain closed for approximately nine days next month. Let’s find out when and where bank holidays will be observed.

Bank Holidays: With the beginning of November, the festive season will end. People will return to their normal routines. However, banks across the country will be closed for approximately 9 to 10 days in the coming month. Therefore, customers who need to visit a bank branch to complete important work should check the holiday list first. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the official list of bank holidays for the month of November, covering holidays in various states across the country. This list includes both regional festivals and weekly holidays. Customers are advised to take these holidays into account when planning their transactions to avoid inconvenience.

Banks will be closed on November 1st
November 1st will be a holiday in Karnataka for Kannada Rajyotsav and in parts of Uttarakhand for Igas-Baghwal. Banks in Bengaluru and Dehradun will be closed on the first day of November to celebrate Kannada Rajyotsav and Igas-Baghwal.

Banks closed on November 5th
According to the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) official holiday list, banks will be closed in several cities on November 5th for Guru Nanak Jayanti, Kartik Purnima, and Raas Purnima. These include Aizawl, Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, and Srinagar.

How many weekly holidays will there be in November?
November 2, 8, 9, 16, 22, 23, and 30 are Saturdays and Sundays. These days are regular weekly holidays for banks across the country, so banks will remain closed on these days. In total, banks will be closed for approximately nine days in various states in November 2025. This includes weekends, second and fourth Saturdays, as well as holidays for festivals such as Wangala and Guru Nanak Jayanti.

Online services will remain operational.
Bank branches will remain closed on these holidays, but customers will be able to use ATMs, internet banking, mobile apps, and UPI services without interruption. However, some services may be temporarily affected during scheduled maintenance work.
