
Mumbai News: 89 new corona cases were registered in Maharashtra, taking the total number of infected to 1,593. So far 18,103 tests have been conducted, 959 patients have recovered and there are 615 active cases.
Maharashtra Corona Case Update: Corona infection cases are increasing day by day in Maharashtra. On Tuesday, June 10, 89 new corona patients were found. With this, the number of corona infected in the state has reached 1,593. Mumbai has the highest number of 719 patients.
Since January 2025, 18,103 corona tests have been conducted across the state, out of which 1,593 people have been found positive. So far 959 patients have been completely cured, while 615 patients are active. Most of these active patients have mild symptoms and are undergoing treatment at home.

• Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation – 9
• Kalyan Municipal Corporation – 4
• Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation – 4
• Thane Municipal Corporation – 3
• Nagpur Municipal Corporation – 3
• Satara – 3
• Chandrapur – 2
• Navi Mumbai, Mira-Bhayandar, Raigad, Pune (Rural), Sangli, and Gondia – 1 patient each.

Most patients are recovering at home
According to health officials, one of the deceased had a history of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and chronic bronchitis as well as cardiac arrhythmia. Most of the 17 deaths recorded so far were of people with co-morbidities. The severity of infection has been mild in most active cases.
Given the mild severity of the infection, public health officials believe that like the third wave, the rate of hospitalization will be minimal this time too. Most of the patients have mild symptoms of corona and are recovering at home. Additional Chief Secretary Dr Pradeep Vyas Dr Pradeep Vyas directed the districts across the state to increase the capacity of corona testing.
