Due to which the government has also got record revenue. According to the report of Enrock Research, from January 1, 2025 to June 30, 2025, 75,672 properties have been registered in the city. This is 4 percent more than the same period last year. There is a constant demand for home buyers in Maya Nagari.
Meanwhile, the Reserve Bank of India has also cut the repo rate. It is being estimated from this. The number of home buyers may increase further. Reduction in interest rates will provide great relief in EMI of home buyers. Infrastructure and connectivity are also improving in the city. In such a situation, there has been a boom in the property market of Maya Nagari.
Record number of properties registered in Mumbai
Property consultancy firm Anarock Group quoted data from the Maharashtra State Revenue Department as saying that property registration and revenue collection in Mumbai reached an all-time high between the first half of 2025 (January-June). Maharashtra Inspector General of Registration (IGR) data shows that as per the latest data till June 30, 75,672 properties have been registered in Mumbai.
This is 4% more than the 72,491 properties registered in the same period last year. Property registration in the first half of this year is more than 4 times as compared to the last 5 years.
Registration is filling the government’s coffers
The record-breaking property registrations in Mumbai in the first half of this year have also filled the treasury of the Maharashtra government. According to IGR data, the state government’s earnings from property registration in the first half of 2025 reached a record high of Rs 6,699 crore.
This is 14 percent more than the Rs 5,874 crore earned in the same period last year. In the revenue trend of the month of June during the last 7 years (2019-2025), the lowest revenue collection of Rs 153 crore was received in the Covid year 2020, while in 2025 it reached the second best level with Rs 1,004 crore. This is the best performance till date.
Decline in registration in June
There has been a decline in property registration in the month of June 2025. Despite this, revenue collection was strong. 11,211 properties were registered in the month of June. This gave the Maharashtra government a revenue of Rs 1,004 crore. At the same time, 11673 properties were registered in June 2024. In such a situation, there has been a decline of 4 percent in property registration in June this year as compared to June last year.
