He spoke to the press and fans about how the film Karuppu keeps roaring in theatres, hitting the 200‑crore mark. The actor wanted to meet everyone personally, and he thanked them for making the film a huge success.
He praised director RJ Balaji, saying he had believed in the director’s vision from the very first meeting. “Everything went well from the first meeting itself. It was completely RJ Balaji’s vision,” Suriya said. He also thanked producers Prakash and Prabhu from Dream Warrior Pictures for supporting the project and making the right decisions throughout the film.
Suriya mentioned the film’s response, not just in Tamil Nadu but also in Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Ireland, Australia, the UK, the US and Dubai. “When we get the same reaction everywhere, we feel we are doing something right,” he added emotionally.
