Dhurandhar 2 OTT Release Delayed on JioHotstar Due to IPL 2026
The Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar 2, released in theatres on 19 March, faces a postponement on JioHotstar because of IPL 2026, with a new streaming date set for 5 June 2026.
Dhurandhar 2 will now stream on JioHotstar after the IPL 2026 final. Indian viewers must wait a few more days for the raw, uncut version.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the Ranveer Singh‑led film Dhurandhar 2 hit cinemas on 19 March. About two months later it was slated for OTT launch.
While the movie is already available on Netflix worldwide, its Indian streaming on JioHotstar has hit a snag. The platform had not confirmed a release date initially, but the film was expected to stream between 15‑16 May.
Now the OTT debut is being pushed back because of IPL 2026. The makers don’t want the film to get lost amid the cricket frenzy that dominates Indian viewership and drives massive JioHotstar traffic.
According to Box Office Worldwide, Dhurandhar 2 will appear on JioHotstar after the IPL final, which ends on 31 May. The grand premiere is scheduled for 4 June, with streaming starting on 5 June. This time the release will include a raw, uncut version.
The film has grossed ₹1,847 crore globally, surpassing its 2025 predecessor which earned ₹1,300 crore. It now ranks as the second highest‑earning Indian movie. Alongside Ranveer Singh, the cast features Sanjay Dutt, A.R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Arjun Rampal and Rakesh Bedi.
So viewers will have to wait a little longer, but the wait ends shortly after the IPL madness dies down.
