The Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar 2 was supposed to release on Jio Hotstar around May 15-16. However, the streaming platform has delayed the film’s release due to IPL 2026. The film will now premiere on June 4 and stream from June 5.

Dhurandhar 2, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, was released in theaters on March 19. The film is now ready for OTT release nearly two months after its theatrical debut. It has already been released on Netflix globally, except in India.
The film was supposed to stream on Jio Hotstar around May 15-16. However, the platform did not confirm the release date at that time. Now, Indian audiences will have to wait a bit longer to watch the film on Jio Hotstar.
The main reason behind the delay is IPL 2026. According to Box Office Worldwide, Dhurandhar 2 will make its way to Jio Hotstar after the IPL 2026 final. The makers don’t want the film to get lost in the noise when it releases, given the massive craze for IPL in India. The tournament has been drawing huge viewership on Jio Hotstar.
IPL 2026 concludes on May 31. Dhurandhar 2 will have its grand premiere on Jio Hotstar on June 4, and streaming begins from June 5. The film will release in both RAW and uncut versions.
Dhurandhar 2 has collected ₹1,847 crore worldwide. The film has earned more than its predecessor Dhurandhar, which made ₹1,300 crore. Dhurandhar 2 has become the second highest-grossing Indian film. The movie features Ranveer Singh along with Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Arjun Rampal, and Rakesh Bedi.
