The incident happened on Thursday, during the morning Eid Al Adha prayers. The bull had apparently escaped just before the congregants gathered.
Local reports say the animal ran across the prayer site in Al Buraimi. Al Buraimi is an oasis city in northern Oman, bordering the UAE. It is also the capital of Al Buraimi Governorate, about 343 km from Muscat.
Authorities have not confirmed details yet. No serious injuries have been reported so far, according to the limited information released.
