E-Cabinet has many benefits
An official said that the government aims to make government functioning more transparent and environmentally sustainable, calling e-Cabinet a green initiative. The e-Cabinet system will communicate cabinet decisions to citizens through a dedicated portal. The government is adopting the digital initiative after emphasising on the use of technology to expedite administrative processes and ensure citizens are informed about cabinet decisions on time.
The fully digital system will streamline the process of submitting proposals online, discussing them during cabinet meetings, recording final decisions and maintaining related documentation. This will secure records of meetings and make it easier to retrieve references or past decisions. The e-Cabinet system digitises cabinet activities and promotes paperless processes by enabling smart governance using technology.
