“KGF” star Yash spoke about his upcoming project “Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown‑Ups” during a recent chat with Variety. He said director Geetu Mohandas has infused the gangster‑drama with “refreshing” emotional layers that set it apart from typical action‑heavy films.
According to Yash, Mohandas approaches emotions, relationships and conflicts in a more nuanced way. He believes this “layered and deep” perspective will become one of the movie’s biggest strengths. “We see life differently. There is always a different point of view when women look at things,” he explained, adding that women often notice feelings and details that get missed in conventional storytelling.
The actor noted that this “female gaze” has changed the emotional texture of several scenes. He hinted the narrative will balance commercial spectacle with human emotions, personal conflicts and relational depth, rather than relying solely on action.
Yash also praised the film’s representation of women. He said the female characters are not merely passive support for the male lead. “There’s a different set of politics, a different kind of violence involved with every human being,” he observed, describing the women as “really badass” who own their lives and survive in any situation.
