Dhurandhar 2 OTT Release Delayed on Jio Hotstar Because of IPL 2026 Schedule
The launch of Ranveer Singh’s “Dhurandhar 2” on Jio Hotstar is postponed to early June 2026 as IPL 2026 finals dominate viewership, pushing the OTT premiere back.
“Dhurandhar 2” missed its original Jio Hotstar slot because of IPL 2026. The film will finally stream from 5 June 2026, raw and uncut.

Dhurandhar 2, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, hit cinemas on 19 March 2026. After a theatrical run, the movie is now being prepped for OTT.
It already landed on Netflix worldwide, except India. The plan was to debut it on Jio Hotstar for Indian audiences.
But the OTT launch date got a hold. The film was supposed to stream on Jio Hotstar between 15‑16 May 2026. The platform never confirmed that slot. Meanwhile, the Netflix version rolled out globally, excluding India.
Now the movie will appear on Jio Hotstar 20 days later, after the IPL 2026 finals. The reason? IPL’s massive craze in India. The tournament pulls huge viewership, and Jio Hotstar wants to avoid the film getting lost in the cricket frenzy.
IPL 2026 is set to finish on 31 May 2026. Right after that, Jio Hotstar will host a grand premiere of “Dhurandhar 2” on 4 June 2026, with streaming beginning on 5 June 2026. This time, the film will be available in a raw, uncut version.
Box‑office numbers show “Dhurandhar 2” has already raked in ₹1,847 crore worldwide, surpassing its 2025 predecessor, which made ₹1,300 crore. That makes it the second‑highest‑grossing Indian film so far.
The cast includes Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, A.R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Arjun Ramapalam, and Rakesh Bedi, among others.
So, Indian viewers will have to wait a little longer, but the delay is meant to give the film a clearer screen, not a cricket‑filled blur.
